Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2024.
Peter Payne was kind enough to give me a little bit of background on the event being held in Zurich today: “King of the Hill – Extreme Croquet”
“Actually, the King-of-the-Hill in Zürich is played in a park traditionally on New Year’s Day, whatever the weather. I believe that it’s history goes back to the very beginnings of croquet in Zürich. It is extreme in that hoops are, apparently, placed randomly around the park… well, one bit of the park!”
And by the looks of it, they have struck some good weather!
The final day of the VCA AC open Singles is being played at Cairnlea and it should be a cracking contest between Simon Hockey and Robert Fletcher.
Keep up to date with the results on Croquetscores.
